Tong High School is committed to supporting a variety of safe, efficient transport options to get pupils to and from school.

Bus

We are served by nine special buses, which drop off and pick up pupils safely in the school grounds. Routes cover Holmewood, Wakefield Road, West Bowling, Laisterdyke, Barkerend Road, Cleckheaton Road, Legrams Lane and Smiddles Lane.

There are also dedicated drop off and pick-up points for parents who drive pupils to and from school, as well as generous parking on the campus and surrounding roads.

Walking & Cycling

For those who prefer pedal power, there are cycle racks to secure their bikes until home time.

With health and reduced carbon emissions in mind, we always encourage pupils to walk to school, if the distance is manageable.
