This qualification is designed for pre 16 learners and provides a specialist work-related qualification in a range of skills related to Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing using a mixture of theory and practical based units.
On successful completion of this course, learners can progress onto higher levels of study in this vocational area to gain a qualified status.
This course consists of units of work each lasting for 30 or 60 hours, spread over 1 or 2 years of study and could cover a wide range of possible skill and application choices.
The assessment of the whole course is assignment and observation based, with no examinations, and is graded at a pass level.
Each unit relates to a particular aspect of the world of work in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing, with many practical tasks.
