Health and well-being are key to the development of all individuals. They have an effect on everybody’s life, and knowledge is essential to the development of the self-aware individual.

Information Technology is an integral part of all Vocational programmes, giving every student an appreciation of the value of the computer as a research tool and an aid to generating professional quality evidence for coursework portfolio inclusion.

Vocational programmes of study strive to give students a taste of the real life world of work in their chosen field, selecting from a wide variety of courses including: -

  • Beauty Therapy/Hair & Beauty
  • Health and Social Care (including Child Care)
  • Social Science (including Psychology/Sociology/Law)

Objectives

  • To promote an ethos of caring qualities and values throughout the school via students who access these vocational courses.
  • To promote good health and healthy lifestyles throughout the school.
  • To give clear and appropriate up to date information and advice about all aspects of personal health and well-being.
  • To promote and support health promoting activities throughout the school.
  • To equip young learners to promote health amongst wider communities.
  • To prepare students for Vocational career choices.
