Department Priorities
- To further embed the use of AfL into all lessons.
- To develop a thematic approach to curriculum development.
- To develop a skills based curriculum.
- To extend Enterprise provision across a wider range of year groups, possibly leading to accreditation.
Course Details
For ICT we offer students courses in the Edexcel Digital Application suite at Key Stage 4, and BTEC National Award and Certificate at KS5. Our Key Stage 3 schemes of work are based on the National Curriculum.
For Business we offer students courses at Level 3, BTEC National Diploma and certificate and plan to deliver Level 2 BTEC First Diploma
We also provide the lead in opportunities for students to meet statutory Enterprise requirements

Curriculum team description, staffing and resources
The IBE team is a very strong team where we pride ourselves on supporting each other and sharing good practice. We are a large team of 8 teachers, one full time administrative support and a teaching assistant. The members of the team are:

The team are located in 2 main areas in this ICT-rich school. As well as a suite of dedicated rooms for ICT teaching, Business is currently taught in a closely adjacent area. Enterprise opportunities are delivered mainly to Year 10 students during a period around their Work Experience and we are looking to extend this across the school.
