Problem solving, designing with computers, thinking about the properties and application of metals and trying to improve the function of a design?

BTEC Engineering is a level 2 course and is equivalent to GCSE grades A*-C level.

Students taking this qualification are well-equipped to enter further education or recruitment into general manufacturing, product design, production planning, production control or project management.

Curriculum Content

The aim of the course is for candidates to fully understand the industrial world of making products.

Resources
This course is delivered through a number of units and using a range of computer aided design software plus practical skills using a range of materials.

Skills and Knowledge
The work done in will explore and experience design and technology and how it relates to design of products using a range of CAD software.
